I qualified as an architect in 1985, and after periods as a scenic designer at BBC Television, an exhibition designer at the British Museum, an interior retail designer, and an architectural illustrator, I returned to mainstream architecture practice and founded the award winning Covent Garden studio of Brimelow McSweeney Architects.
